Now you can select a FPS approved Friesian stallion based on objective criteria, not gut feeling or a partial understanding of statistics and linear score application.

 

Choose an FPS approved stallion for your FPS Friesian mare based on a combination of:

· Your Friesian breeding strategy and goals,

· Strengthening your mare’s conformation and movement,

· Breeding priorities based on your mare’s linear scores,

· Historical 1st premie foals produced by your mare’s sire and approved stallions,

· Historical 1st premie adults produced by your mare’s sire and approved stallions,

· Historic star mares produced by your mare’s stam line and approved stallions,

· Maintaining minimum index scores for select breeding values,

· Not exceeding inbreeding coefficients recommendations.

 

The analysis generates a comprehensive report that is either emailed or mailed to you.  The report includes:

· The top 6 stallions paired to your mare,

· The stallion’s linear scores,

· The offspring’s probable linear scores,

· Stallion breeding information and statistics,

· Comments

 

Information required to complete the analysis:

· Your mare’s FPS linear score sheet

· Your breeding goals:

1. Improving a studbook mare

2. Best 1st premie Weanling to sell

3. Best 1st premie Mare/Gelding adult

4. Model mare

5. Approved Stallion
